Shaykh Hisham Kabbani Visit to Rabbani Sufi Institute

Rabbani Sufi Institute was founded by Shaykh Hisham and Indonesian students to assist drug-addicted, and homeless youth to recover and to develop physical, mental, and spiritual discipline to enable them to re-enter society as productive citizens and to leave behind self-destructive behaviors.

In particular, the institute focuses on the spiritual discipline of Sufism and rejects the false ideology of radicalism of  militancy which such youth so often encounter in the streets, where they are often easy prey to Salafi/Wahabi radicals.

A special Martial arts demonstration was conducted in honor of MSH's visit. Martial arts are used by the Institute councilors to develop a sense of self-confidence and physical strength in the participants.

Local artists' works, depicting Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham, were auctioned to support the institute.
