Singapore - October 3, 2003
Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order, arrived for a tour of Southeast Asia on the early morning of October 3, 2003. He and the delegation accompanying him on this trip were greeted by well over 100 students at the airport. After a rapid ride into the city, they entourage was hosted at the home of Dr. T. Ibrahim, where despite the lateness of the hour, several hundred mureeds awaited the Shaykh. Following a brief talk and du`a, a lavish dinner was served.

After a short rest, the Shaykh returned to the prayer hall of Dr. Ibrahim's home to lead tahajjud salaat at 5:00 am, followed by the tasbihat of Fajr and Salaat al-Fajr.

After Salat al-Fajr, the shaykh spoke on the importance of a heavenly dress. Then all guests were invited to a sumptous breakfast in the best Singaporean tradition.

At the Shaykh Abdul Aleem Siddique Mosque Shaykh Hisham was guest of honor for Jumu`ah. There he was warmly greeted by well-wishers, in particular one of Singapore's five mayor's Zayn al-Abedin.
