Shaykh
Kabbani delivers a keynote speech on the importance of keeping to
traditional Islamic values in the modern world and not allowing any refuge
for deviated intolerant narrow-minded interpretations to taint the image
of Islam, a religion based on balance and moderation, love and peace. The Majlis adh-Dhikr was broadcast live on national television, reaching the homes of the citizens of Indonesia, which has a population of nearly 200 million Muslims. |

Salat was made followed
by Dhikr of 140,000 people. Every floor of the mosque was filled
with attendees. Indonesia's nearly 200 million Muslims all embraced Islam through the teachings of Sufi sages who had traveled there from Hadramaut and Central Asia, spreading the reality of spiritual teachings and the attainment of enlightenment. |
