| After the Shaykhs arrived from the
airport to the home of Professor DaCosta, a sumptuous meal was served to
all the guests from abroad, including a number who met up with the
delegation at the airport. Only a select group of mureeds were allowed to
visit the Shaykhs that day, thereby allowing them to rest after the long
flight fromTurkey.
Following a good rest at the home of host Professor Yusuf Da Costa, Shaykh Nazim took a trip to the Cape Town beach. There, under a heavy gale-strength wind, the Shaykh ventured onto the sand, which sometimes blew past at over 80 mph. With a phalanx of mureeds surrounding him, the Shaykh came right up to the shore where he made a long dua for the blessing of South Africa with the light of the Naqshbandi Order. |

| Returning to Dr. Da Costa's home, the Shaykh relaxed in the living room while excited Cape Town mureeds visited and listened to the Shaykh speak. A late night dinner was served and all turned in early, in preparation for a heavy schedule the following day, starting at 3:30 am with salat al-tahajjud and the night vigil. | |||
