First Ziyarah: Sidi Yusuf bin 'Ali (d 593 H). He
suffered from leprosy and spent all his life in a leper hospital
(haraat al-judama'a), displaying total trust in God and
submission to His Will, as well a a great sense of compassion
and charity. |

Second Ziyarah: Al-Imam Qadi al-'Iyad bin Musa al-Yahsubi,
the most renowned of the Maliki scholars in the western part of
the Muslim world (al-Maghreb). He was born in Sebta and buried
in Marrakech in 544H. He is said to have wilayah due to
his tremendous love for the Prophet, as presented in most
exemplary fashion in his book, ash-Shifa, as well as
thanks to his flawless orthodoxy. |

Third Ziyarah: Sidi Ahmed Abu'l-Abbas al-Khazraji
Abu'l-Abbas as-Sabti died in Marrakech in 601 H. He built his
doctrine on the notion of giving and donation. He stood up for
the poor, the underprivileged, the unfortunate, the disabled and
more particularly the blind.
Here Shaykh Hisham's du`a was sought by a large number of
visitors, in particular several Western Muslims who expressed
that they felt a powerful spiritual emanation from the Shaykh. |

Fourth Ziyarah:
Sidi Mohammad ibn
'Abd ar-Rahman al-Jazuli died in the outskirts of Mogador in 870
H and was his body was then transferred to Marrakesh some 50
years after his passing. He set out to revive west-African
Sufism as school of orthoxpraxis. His aim was to protect the
nation from the invasion of the Spaniards. Most importantly, he
authored Dala'il al-Khayrat, a book of blessings on the
Prophet Muhammad (s) that is read throughout the world, with a
section dedicated to each day of the week. |

In the lovely surrounding porticos a large
group of professional madahin (reciters) gather to recite
from Dala'il al-Khayrat, Qasidat al-Burdah and other
praise of the Prophet (s). |

Fifth Ziyarah: Sidi Abd al-'Aziz at-Tabba` al-Harrar,
died in 914 H. As one of Imam al-Jazuli's foremost disciples, he
contributed largely to the dissemination of the Sufi ethical
culture among craftsmen and within their guilds. |

Sixth Ziyarah: Mul al-Qsur 'Abdallah
ibn 'Ujal al-Ghazouani died in 935 H. He earned a reputation for
contributing to the revival and upgrading of the Sufi tradition
and for building on the efforts initiated by Imam al-Jazuli in
this field. He had a compelling impact on the common people
thanks to his righteousness and virtue. he was instrumental in
the return of the Shurafa dignitaries to the throne.

Seventh Ziyarah: al-Imam 'Abd ar-Rahman
as-Suhayli died in 581 H. A native of Andalusia, he was known as
a learned scholar, well-versed in spiritual matters and in Sufi
poetry. He was also famous for his open-mindedness at a time of
strong doctrinal censorship. His maqam is situated at the
far end of the communal graveyard of the Madina. |

That night dinner was held at the Palais du
Prince.
Lit only by a trail of candles, guests were escorted from the
main gate through elegant ancient rooms, foyers and hallways to
the open main central "plaza" of the palace. |

Tawfiq, enjoy the beautiful recitation of the praise on the
Prophet by an assembly of Morocco's finest reciters. Led by
Shaykh Abdel Latif ben Mansour, this group recited for several
hours from al-Burdah, and other litanies in praise of the
Prophet (s). |
