The present world leader of the Naqshabandi-Haqqani Order, the venerable Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Qubrusi al- Haqqani of Cyprus has just completed his first tour of Spain. Begining on October 22 in the capital Madrid and accompanied by his son Bahauddin and a group of his students from all parts of Europe and North America, His Eminence traveled by automobile caravan throughout the Iberian Peninsula. He gave talks on Islam in Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, Orgiva, Valencia, Ibiza and Barcelona.
The shaykh's three Jumah khutbas in mosques in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona were received enthusiastically by the Muslims. However his main concern to communicate Islam to non-Muslim Europeans was reflected in the many public talks, organized in universities, public halls, tea houses, and mosques. A total of 23 public talks as well as countless private associations, were given during 17 precious days and nights. Hundreds of people took shahada and also many received baya`, the physical allegiance to the lineage of spiritual masters known as the Golden Chain of the Naqshbandi Order; a spiritual connection of hearts between master and disciple.
| On the Creator |
In talks with students Shaykh Nazim continually affirmed the existence of the Creator Allah, refuting scientist´s claims to know anything about the origins of mankind saying they have no authority to deny what Holy Books sent to man from above have stated and confirmed. He established that even today's scientists have realized, through all their cosmological theories, that the universe had a singular event of coming from non-existence into existence: and that is sufficient proof of a moment of creation. "Is there any creation without a creator? No one will look at this beautiful building and say, it came into existence through a haphazard combination of cause and effect. If you were to say that, you would be sent to the mental house. So what about this gigantic universe, which is moving and working in perfection?"
| Our Sworn Enemy! |
The shaykh repeatedly warned people " beware of Shaytan who is mankind´s sworn enemy. He and his followers are doing their worst to mislead people and to corrupt society. They are programming everyone. Their target is young especially people and they are being programmed: how they should dress, how they should eat, how they should talk, how they should act.... Believers must resist by using the Prophet´s program, his Sunna, his perfect way. It is the only alternative nowadays. Use the Holy Words: 'Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim, Wa La Hawla Wa La Quwatta illa Billah il-`aliyul `adheem', 100 Times each day, especialy when one is in need and feels unable to continue.

The Shaykh visited El Escorial (near Madrid where all the Kings of Spain from the last 500 years are buried ). He said perhaps our visit was the happiest day they had had since they came to rest there.

The Shaykh continued: "Now, soon a new millenium is beginning and change is expected, we hope. Humanity has lost all human values. Islam is coming for peace."

"For many years, I was asking to come to Spain, as Spain is the most important country in Western history. Here two civilizations came together. Here Europeans touched Islam; but they only took what would be useful for obtaining material power. They learned so much from Islamic knowledge that it is clear than 20th-Century science is based on Islamic knowledge."
It is an honour for Spanish people that their ancestors accepted Islam… but now people are running after the material world not taking an interest in spiritual life. It is a pity for people that Islam is coming to their homes and they are kicking it away. We hope people will ask for spiritual treasures…
| On Blessings |
We are in need of blessings. We have everything, but we do not have a blessed life. No one can say that mankind´s life on earth today is a blessed life. We know that blessing are only for those who believe in Him and respect and keep His divine rights. His first right on us is to declare His existence and to keep His servanthood. Mankind is created in perfection above all other creature. You carry responsibilities according to your level of perfection. Other creatures were givenneither mind nor will, but you have been granted these things. With mind and will you must complete your service in the Divine Presence. Divine Service is the highest honour for mankind. All prophets were calling people to His Divine Service. I am reminding people they are losing this honour. We are here for His Honour. I am not asking a price for speaking. It is a service in honour of the Lord of Heavens for the benefit of souls. I am trying to save people from Satan.
| On Inner Peace |
….People are trying to satisfy their desires through technology, but inwardly they are losing their peace. The key to peace is passing through the peace of our inner lives. The way to reach inner peace is to reach the level of simplicity. Technology is taking people out from their real sizes. Simpleness means to reach to their real size. Not everyone can be a V.I.P but every one wants to be. This is coming from our egos. It harms nations, communities and destroys families. Because of this Satan became Satan.
| On Men & Women |
We are on the same level you and me. Man and woman are on the same level, only man was created as a shell, and woman as a pearl. Man is the protector of woman. The Lord of Heavens is giving light from His Light Oceans to women and from His Power Oceans He is giving power to man. You may not say which is better. Therefore it is false to judge and compare between man and woman. All creatures on earth and in heavens were created only to serve mankind and mankind was created only to serve the Lord of Heavens. You must not be proud of your jewels or your money or your business or anything else; you may only be proud to be a servant of your Lord.
| On the Coming of Jesus (as) |
At Fajr prayer on the morning of the 3th day of Rajab (3th Nov) Shahkh Nazim addressed
the students who were present: "Abshir! Good tidings for you, for everyone, are
coming with heavenly powers. Sayiddina `Isa, is expected to return to this world.
This is our Islamic belief. Believers are preparing for this in their hearts. Everyone
must waken and know that the future belongs to His kingdom, `Isa (Jesus) peace be
upon him, and everyone must know that kings are returning.
Kings are now ready in their countries, but their hands are tied and their tongues
prohibited from speaking. Now like prisoners, they are going to be free under the Royal
Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Now a new group should appear throughout East and West--the "Legion of the Royal
Kingdom of Jesus on earth". Every real believer at that time should be servants in
this Legion for His Royal Kingdom, as his Kingdom is going to be Kingdom of Heaven on
Earth. This important message was taught by our Holy Prophet (s) and by the prophets
before him (as). It is written in so many hadith.
Therefore you must use the Internet, magazines and writings to put everywhere, East and West. In English and in every language, to be sent East and West to every nation. Heavenly power is coming now starting in this holy month. All power of evil and power of devils going to be less and less, reducing to zero. We must awaken now, step by step. This is a small seed. Use your imagination. Proclaim this, use something suitable for servants of the Royal Kingdom of Heavens. Then we hope to see evil begin to disappear.
On the arrival of Jesus Christ's reign on earth, according to heavenly commands, he is going to clean everything on earth. Mahdi, the leader of the believers, is going to be with him 7 years, and then pass away and Jesus (as) will pray the funeral prayer over him in Jerusalem. At that time all people will have miraculous powers and technology will be eliminated. That is the strongest trial for anti-Christ, as anti-Christ depends completely on technology. So, first technology will be ended. When technology is ended, then spirituality appears. No one can imagine the power of spirituality. Everything from technology is going in the dustbin. In one night all instruments of technology may be eliminated.
Whoever hears the sound of the armies when Jesus Christ comes to earth will not be able to stay among people. They will run away. Anyone hearing this is passing from himself to heavens. Awliya are able to hear that sound.
At that time, whoever is present should find dunya changing completely. Prepare yourself. Do not waste your life. Who is with those people must be protected.
No one can look at him, you may look at the sun, but not at Jesus (as).
| Visit to a Buddhist Monastery |
In a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the mountains south of Barcelona we sat with Spanish Buddhist monks, Jesuit priests and the Protestant clerics. They served us tea and cakes, while we listened to Shaykh Nazim´s conversation with them at this Interfaith Meeting.
The Shaykh spoke:
"All are Allah´s servants. No titles for them. I am honoured to be invited here. No doubt it is only His will which makes this meeting here in this hour. He is making us to meet here and I believe and they are believing also that before coming to this life we were in that spiritual world together.""It is impossible to meet in this world if the souls were not in contact in the spiritual world. Our souls were in contact then and so we must meet now. These dressings are only temporary. Our true dress is in the Divine Presence. When this appears, no more trouble between nations. That is pure knowledge, no one can object to it."
"Do we not all believe in the existence of shaytan? I am looking for a place where shaytan is not present," asked the shaykh. The priest remared "It is said 'there is no shaytan in Catalonia.'" The Shaykh chuckled, "then we must stay here".
Shaykh Nazim continued, "Death goes everywhere even to those who live in palaces, death comes. Satan also reaches - kings more than other people. Satan is a first-class trouble-maker. I was visiting the patriarch Bartolomew in Constantinople. He is the highest official in the Eastern Orthodox Church, like the pope for the Catholics. He speaks Turkish well. He was welcoming me into the church. When the guards were not letting me pass through the gate Bartolomew came and allowed me to pass on in."
"We were sitting like we are now. He asked me what I thought about the crises and wars in the world. I replied ·'Do you think Satan has retired?. When Satan finishes and retires, then all crises will end. Yet Satan is acting with authority and power, there is no democracy for those who are under him. He is King and has full power there. So, beware of Shaytan. Your holiness must write a sign at your church: "Beware of Satan". Beware, not of dogs, but of Satan. Satan is not running away from weapons, therefore we must be hand-in-hand against Satan to destroy his Kingdom. Otherwise no happiness--only never-ending suffering. Therefore I am organizing through good people to prevent Satan from attacking people. It may be a big job. Some may say it is too hard, but if we do this the Lord of Heavens will help us.'"
"Jesus Christ had only 12 disciples yet today belief in him covers the whole world. We must try to prevent Satan from establishing his ways through young people. To stop him as much as possible. I have hope now in the coming of a new millenium. We expect that in the next millenium the Kingdom of Heavens will appear. `Isa (as) is going to be the Heavenly King on earth and all kings on earth will be in power under His authority. I am full of hope that it should be a final cleaning of earth and of every evil one. Real justice, real respect and real should love return to man. Real mercy should return to humanity."
"I hope that soon things will change and a real force from heavens appears on earth. Otherwise it is too hard to conquer Satan, everyone is following him, therefore we are in need of help from heavens. I am happy to meet these religious men - I am not fanatical in my beliefs, I feel we must be together for the salvation of mankind. The most honoured servant in Divine Presence is he who does his best for humanity. The worst ones are those who work for Satan to harm mankind. Even if they are from our families we are refusing them. May Allah forgive us. May Allah bless our work."
| On Distinguishing True Teachers from False |
We are hoping and waiting for `Isa (as) to come. That is a sign that we are on the right path. If our aim is to be with `Isa (as) and against Satan it must be a right way. They say "how can we be sure we are on a true Sufi path among so many groups?". Ask yourself what is your aim. We are hoping and expecting `Isa (as) to establish the Kingdom of Heavens on earth. When he is coming we hope to be the first to join him, when He comes from Heavens. Happiness for those who work and pray for him to come.
If anyone is asking for a Sufi teacher and is wondering, "how can I know if he is a real one or not?" He must know that a real master is not working for himself. Whoever is working for himself is the follower of anti-Christ. Ask him where he is guiding people. He may say he is leading to Allah, but it is not enough. What is his proof?.
If he says he is preparing for the coming of Jesus Chris we can join with him. If not giving this sign he is an imitation one, plastic. He works for himself, not belonging to Heavens. They may say our tariqat is making da`wa. Da`wa to where?. Imitation tariqats are they making Da`wa to Allah or to Shaytan.
There are so may Shaykhs of tasawwuf, here and there. Ask them where they are giding us. If they are giving that answer then they are aware, and opened-eyed. Not blind. The blind one cannot be a leader. He is falling in a well. Where we are leading people, we must know where we are going. I am with our Grand Shaykh´s permission calling to Isa´s (as) service.
