| Choukhadar
(Chief Lackey) This was the title given to high officials of the Imperial Palace who rendered particular service to the Sultan. Later on, the title was given to those who also served other Imperial Officers. The title was spelt Choukadar but was pronounced Choukhadar in Turkish. They came after the Sword-bearer in rank. Divan
